Things I'm building

Software I build for my own students and for curious kids: a platform for practicing SQL, a multiplayer game that quizzes you on databases, and hands-on science labs.

Course platform

Student Submission Tracker

A web app where students practice SQL and submit data-modeling work, and instructors manage sections, deadlines, and grading.

  • Queries run against real databases and are checked on rows, columns, and column names
  • AI feedback on SQL, and AI scoring of ER diagrams that an instructor reviews
  • Due dates, grace periods, and grade exports for each course section

Learning game

Neon Snake

A real-time multiplayer 3D snake game with database quizzes. It's a companion to Richard T. Watson's open Data Management textbook.

  • A shared arena for each book chapter (3–10), with weekly top-ten leaderboards
  • A quiz appears after every ten orbs: right answers give a speed boost, wrong ones cost length
  • Questions adjust to each player's level, and every explanation links to the book section it covers

Science for kids

Wonderlab

Interactive science labs where young explorers experiment with space, chemistry, ecosystems, and light.

  • Build a solar system by changing planet mass and orbits
  • Separate labs for chemistry, ecosystems, and light
  • A science notebook saved in the browser, with export and import between iPad and computer
